Empathy, authenticity, and unconditional acceptance are the fundamental qualities I cultivate in the relationships with my clients. I try to create a safe place where you can be vulnerable and validated while also gaining the room for self-compassion, hope, healing, and change. My approach to therapy is holistic, though I am drawn to attachment and person-centered theories within a multicultural framework. I also strongly resonate with the research on shame, vulnerability, and wholehearted living by Brene Brown. Esther Perel and Dan Savage are two of my “mentors” when it comes to love, sex, and relationships. I have 16 years of experience working with individuals with a variety of presenting issues, including anxiety, depression, relationships. I understand the challenges that come with life transitions, work-life balance, and grief/loss. I have extensive experience working with those in the health care and helping professions (doctors, pharmacists, therapists).
