The St. Louis Psychological Association welcomes professionals and students in the field of psychology and related disciplines.

SLPA has four types of membership:
Full Member
Any psychologist who is a full member of the American Psychological Association, the Missouri Psychological Association, the Illinois Psychological Association (or eligible for full membership in one of the above listed associations), or who holds a license to practice psychology in the state of Missouri or Illinois is eligible for membership in SLPA.
Full Membership ($60)*
Full Membership with Enhanced Find A Therapist Listing ($90)**
Affiliate Member
Any person who has a professional interest in psychology may apply for affiliate membership in SLPA. An affiliate member typically has a graduate or medical degree in a subject related to mental health (e.g., psychiatrist, clinical social worker or licensed professional counselor).
Affiliate Membership ($60)*
Affiliate Membership with Enhanced Find A Therapist Listing ($90)**
*Included with annual membership, all full and affiliate members who are fully licensed mental health professionals may elect to be included in the Find A Therapist section of the SLPA website. This optional listing includes name, practice location, telephone number, and clinical interest areas.
**Along with the information listed above, an Enhanced Find A Therapist Listing adds photo, a personal statement, website address, email address, hours, specific insurance plans accepted, and a Google Map. An enhanced listing is available for an additional $30 per year ($90 total).
Student Member
Any person enrolled (at the graduate or undergraduate level) in an academic program that is primarily psychological in nature is eligible for student membership in SLPA.
Student Membership ($25)
Retired Member
Any member of SLPA may change to retired status upon reaching age 60 and complete retirement from psychology-related employment. This includes clinical, teaching, and research activities. Any part-time work of a psychological nature, regardless of frequency or number of hours, excludes a person from this category of membership.
Retired Membership ($25)
All new applications for membership are subject to verification and approval by the Executive Board.
